I have a friend who's in need of some help. A blood transfusion of sorts.
No, don't run away, that's not a real needle I'm holding, I was being figurative again.
I've been a member at the phorum for several years now. Now, me being a member is something of an understatement, as I've spent quite a considerable amount of my not-always-entirely-spare time there. And it's become my virtual place to hang out and discuss things which I don't get to discuss much elsewhere. A place where I am heard, and where I listen in return. A place where minds, like and unalike, meet and share with mutual respect (and the occasional bout of silliness). Music, philosophy, rough'n'ready cooking, literature, the meaning of life, the universe and everything, in short, it's all very 42.
Recently, the phorum's been on the decline. Regular visitors stopped dropping by and new members may have felt intimidated by the amount of past the remaining members have built up between themselves. Whatever their reasons (and I'm sure they were all justified, if not entirely excusable), members stopped frequenting the place, and as it is right now, it is starving for their contribution.
We're trying to get them all to come back, all those old members who used to liven up the place.
And at the same time, we're appealing to you, friends and neighbours of existing members, to come check out the place. Register (it's free, of course it is), become a member and post a couple of messages to get a feel of the place.
Give it a shot. It's wonderful place, but it needs fresh blood, fresh minds, fresh views and people who enjoy hanging out and making conversation about, well, 42, essentially.
Go on, I know you want to....
Click here and visit the Phorum <= yes, that's the one, go ahead and click it!

"Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.
And how else can it be?
The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain. " - Kahlil Gibran

All truth is fiction.
Sounds kinda like the problems we had in our self aid group. Through the years we'd become a group of close friends, which made it hard for newcomers to find their place in the group. So no fresh blood and one by one the regulars left... and this summer I just gave up because it was too frustrating to sit there each week waiting for some irregulars to show up.

is the answer to that age-old question: what's the meaning of life, the universe and everything. Something we discuss frequently at the phorum
